The 3rd International Symposium on Flotation Theory, Technology and Equipment concluded successfully
From April 9th to 11th, the "3rd Flotation Theory, Technology and Equipment Technology Exchange Conference" was grandly held, jointly organized by the School of Resource Processing and Bioengineering, Central South University, and other key industry units such as Hunan Nonferrous Metals Research Institute.

This high-level academic conference attracted more than 600 experts, scholars, researchers, and R&D and production technicians from research institutes, universities, and enterprises engaged in mineral processing nationwide.

Following the brief opening ceremony, the "Outstanding Mineral Flotation Engineer" award ceremony was held. Academician Sun Chuanyao of the Chinese Academy of Engineering presented awards and delivered a speech. Huang Ying, a key technical personnel from our company, received this honor. This award aims to recognize outstanding achievements in the mineral processing technology field and encourage the transformation of research results into productivity, writing more and better papers in mines, and allowing flotation theory to take root and bear fruit in mines.

As a co-organizer of the conference, Ms. Zeng Junlan, Chairperson of Jumper Technology, delivered a wonderful report on "The Development and Future of Sorting Technology." She emphasized that the JPXRT intelligent sorting system has been put into production practice and achieved great success in key technological applications, receiving high market praise and recognition, and becoming indispensable mineral processing equipment for modern mining enterprises. This is due to its ability to improve resource utilization rate and the grade of ore entering the mill, reduce the amount of ore entering the mill and the production of fine tailings, and improve the economic benefits of enterprises.

The conference included sharing of research and development practices and results of intelligent sorting equipment, providing an opportunity for in-depth exchanges and allowing mining enterprises to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the economic benefits brought by the intelligent sorting system. It received the trust and support of experts and mining enterprises from all sectors and facilitated in-depth exchanges.

During the conference, He Congxing, chief expert of Hunan Nonferrous Metals Holdings Group and consultant of Hunan ShuiKouShan Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd., shared "Research and Application of Pre-selection and Waste Disposal Technology of Kangjiabai Lead-Zinc Mine." The report pointed out that the intelligent sorting equipment is safe and reliable. Specific analysis includes: 1. After the completion of the Kangjiabai Mine technology upgrading and transformation project, the selection plant processing capacity is 800,000 tons/year; 2. The 10-60mm level entering waste disposal accounts for 60% of the ore, the operation waste disposal rate is 22%, and the total waste disposal rate is about 13.2%. 106,000 tons of waste rock can be disposed of annually, which can be sold as construction aggregates, with a sales revenue of 3.71 million yuan at 35 yuan/ton; 3. The processing cost of lead-zinc ore is about 105 yuan/ton, saving 75 yuan/ton in grinding and subsequent processing costs, saving 7.92 million yuan in processing costs annually, and creating an annual profit of 11.63 million yuan from pre-selection and tailings disposal; 4. 106,000 tons of tailings can be reduced annually, extending the service life of the tailings pond and providing a guarantee for the sustainable development of the company's mining industry. Pre-selection and waste disposal can be promoted in similar mines.

As the first lead-zinc gold and silver mining enterprise to introduce Jumper Technology's JPXRT-1800 complete set of intelligent ore sorting equipment, it handles waste disposal of the original ore after crushing in the existing selection plant, returning the concentrate to the grinding and flotation process of the existing selection plant, and selling the waste rock as building materials. This project was successfully put into operation in 2019 and has achieved significant economic and social benefits.
