Copper Ore

China is one of the countries with more copper ore in the world. The total reserves of copper are 62.43 million tons, ranking 7th in the world. Rich copper ore accounts for 35% of the proven reserves. Copper ore is widely distributed, with production in all provinces (cities, districts) across the country except Tianjin and Hong Kong, including Shanghai, Chongqing, and Taiwan. There are 910 proven ore deposits.

Lead-Zinc Ore

China is relatively rich in lead-zinc ore resources. Lead-zinc ore is produced in all parts of the country except Shanghai, Tianjin, and Hong Kong. There are more than 700 production sites. The total reserves of lead are 35.72 million tons, ranking 4th in the world; zinc reserves are 93.84 million tons, ranking 4th in the world. In terms of inter-provincial comparison, Yunnan's lead reserves account for 17% of the national total, ranking first in the country.

Bauxite

China's bauxite resources are of moderate abundance. There are 310 production sites, distributed in 19 provinces (regions). The total reserves of ore are 2.27 billion tons, ranking 7th in the world.

Nickel Ore

China's nickel ore resources cannot meet the demand. The total reserves of nickel are 7.84 million tons, ranking 9th in the world. There are nearly 100 nickel ore production sites distributed in 18 provinces (regions).

Tungsten Ore

China is the country with the richest tungsten ore resources in the world. There are 252 proven ore deposits, distributed in 23 provinces (regions). The total reserves of tungsten are 25.29 million tons, ranking 1st in the world. Production also ranks first in the world, and it is a traditional export mineral product of China. In terms of provinces (regions), Hunan (mainly scheelite) and Jiangxi (mainly wolframite) have the most, with reserves accounting for 33.8% and 20.7% of the national total, respectively; followed by Henan, Guangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, etc.

Magnesite

China is the country with the richest magnesite resources in the world. The total reserves of ore are 3 billion tons, ranking 1st in the world. An important feature of China's magnesite is that its regional distribution is not wide, and the reserves are relatively concentrated, with many large deposits. There are 27 proven ore deposits, distributed in 9 provinces (regions), with Liaoning having the richest magnesite reserves, accounting for 85.6% of the national total.

Cobalt Ore

China does not have many cobalt ore resources, and independent cobalt ore deposits are even fewer. It is mainly produced as an associated mineral product along with iron, nickel, copper, and other minerals. There are 150 known cobalt ore deposits, distributed in 24 provinces (regions), with Gansu Province having the largest reserves, accounting for about 30% of the national total. The total reserves of cobalt in the country are 470,000 tons.

Tin Ore

China is one of the countries with abundant tin ore resources in the world. There are 293 proven ore deposits, with total reserves of 4.07 million tons, ranking 2nd in the world. Ore deposits are distributed in 15 provinces (regions), with Guangxi and Yunnan provinces (regions) having the largest reserves, accounting for 32.9% and 31.4% of the national total, respectively, followed by Hunan, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, and Jiangxi. The above 6 provinces (regions) account for 93% of the national total.

Molybdenum Ore

China is rich in molybdenum ore resources, with total reserves of 8.4 million tons, ranking 2nd in the world. There are 222 proven ore deposits, distributed in 28 provinces (regions, municipalities). Henan Province has the richest molybdenum ore resources, with molybdenum reserves accounting for 30.1% of the national total.

Antimony Ore

China is the country with the richest antimony ore resources in the world. The total reserves of antimony are 2.78 million tons, ranking 1st in the world. There are 111 proven ore deposits, distributed in 18 provinces (regions) across the country, with Guangxi having the largest antimony reserves, accounting for about 41.3% of the national total; followed by Hunan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Gansu, and Guangdong.
